Tamil Friend’s Free Video Call Group calls allow video chatting with up to four people simultaneously; the video display adjusts as more participants join.
Cross-platform compatibility ensures seamless functionality across iOS and Android devices without needing phone numbers.
In-call multitasking enables minimizing the video window to browse feeds, post stories, or send messages/photos in Direct while remaining on the call.
Effects and filters can be applied in real time during calls using the smiley-face icon.
Notification controls allow muting specific users or disabling video call notifications entirely through Settings > Notifications > Video Chats.
Link sharing facilitates inviting others to join via shared links (as detailed in some tutorials, although less formally documented).
Privacy is maintained as blocked users cannot initiate calls, and active calls are indicated by a blue camera icon in group threads.
To initiate a call:
Open Direct Messages.
Select a chat and tap the camera icon.
Tap Video to begin.
To disable calls:
Go to Profile > Settings > Notifications > Direct Messages and toggle off Video Chats.

Instructions:
To start a call, open the chat and tap the video call icon.
For group calls, select “video call” in groups with 32 or fewer members.

To politely decline the visual aspect of an incoming WhatsApp video call, kindly follow these steps, provided the feature is supported by your application version:
Upon receiving a video call, locate the option to disable your video, typically displayed near the caller’s name.
Kindly tap this option.
The call acceptance button will then modify to reflect an option to answer without video. Please swipe up to accept the call without activating your camera.
Should this feature be unavailable, you may accept the call and then disable your camera at your convenience.
To switch to audio-only mode during a Messenger video call, simply disable your camera. Here’s how: During the call, tap the screen to access the call controls. Locate the camera icon and tap it to turn off your video, thus switching to audio-only mode. This allows you to continue the conversation without sharing your video.
To initiate a video chat on Instagram, please follow these steps:
First, open the Instagram application and confirm that you are logged into your account.
Next, proceed to your Direct Messages by tapping the paper airplane icon located in the upper-right corner of your feed.
Then, select the desired recipient for your video call, whether it be an individual or a group.
To begin the video call, simply tap the camera icon situated in the upper-right corner of the chat screen.
Kindly note that you may video chat with up to six participants simultaneously, and you even have the option to minimize the video to continue browsing Instagram during the call. To conclude the call, please tap the red phone icon at the bottom of your screen.
